Policemen got to the old NATO bunker in Traben-Trarbach, Germany. The 5000 square meter building is 5 floors underground and has an iron door. It was protected by a fence and monitoring cameras.

During the search, the police seized 200 servers along with documents, cell phones and lots of cash. On Thursday, September 26th, German detectives were able to stop a hosting provider for the first time. He provided IT infrastructure to protect internet crime from government intervention. After breaking security codes to gain access to server content, police found countless websites facilitating the illegal sale of drugs, weapons, forged documents and stolen data, as well as sites disseminating child pornography.

Police arrested 13 people between the ages of 20 and 59 who were suspected of being associated with this operation. The group’s leader turned out to be a 59-year-old Dutchman, who founded a server in Traben-Trarbach in 2013. (ns)
